Welcome to the ATIX Blog

Ein etwas anderer OSAD

A somewhat different OSAD

For 4 years now, the Open Source Automation Days have been our highlight of the year. We are very pleased to see that Munich's largest vendor-independent open source conference has established itself as an integral part of the annual calendar of events. When we organized a three-day event for over 150 participants for the first time in 2019, it pushed our motivation for OSAD 2020 enormously. So we started planning immediately afterward, found a location, and already booked it... But suddenly, Corona was there!

Save The Rhino

For several years, the ATIX AG has been supporting the charity “Save The Rhino” (short STR). The British organization for nature conservation supports rhinos threatened by extinction all over the world.

Logo Announcement

As a company, we desire an online presence to take part in the discussion of open source and automation solutions. As we grow our voice, we want our logo to be visible and identifiable on any platform.

Foreman Birthday 2020

Foreman Birthday Party – online! For 11 years now, the Foreman project has facilitated the management of large server infrastructures and is a popular open source component among administrators.
ansible

Ansible Collections – More clarity and easier sharing in Ansible

Ansible is the fastest-growing configuration management tool these days. This has also created a steadily growing community. Due to the simple architecture and the resulting easy extensibility, more and more companies and private persons provide their roles, modules and playbooks for their products and projects.
SBOL

SBOL: Open Source based exchange for biotech enthusiasts

Especially in the current time we experience how important the exchange between scientists is. Almost every day there are new findings that need to be discussed and debated. This applies to the situation in the current pandemic as well as to (biotechnological) research in general.
Kubernetes_Training

GitOps – Kubernetes The Easy Way

The management of Kubernetes should be easy, simple and clear. Well-known DevOps practices and ultimately automation should be accessible by the management technique. The first GitOps principle, the declarative approach, is the essential Kubernetes management technique to leverage the desired feature set.

The orcharhino Summit from the participant’s perspective

My highlights of the orcharhino Summit were the two customer presentations by Frank (Benteler) and Martin Zimmermann (Fujitsu), which gave exciting, but above all practical, insights into the use of orcharhino. First of all, there was a presentation by Jan Bundesmann (consultant at ATIX AG) on possible use cases.

Five reasons why the premiere of the orcharhino Summit was a complete success

Actually, everything was planned completely differently: On April 23rd, 2020, orcharhino users and interested parties were supposed to meet with consultants and developers in our office in Garching. A personal exchange and exciting discussions about our tool for data center automation were planned. But then Corona came and we had to reschedule.
