IT Days 2018 – a suckling pig for the ATIX crew!

Shortly before the holidays, we went on another big trip last week: we attended the IT Days in Frankfurt for the second time. We have there from December 10th. Experienced four great days until December 13th, 2018.

The IT decision-making day on December 10th. heralded the start of the following conference and exhibition days. Our boss Mark played an important role in this: with his lecture “The basis for innovation – IT automation with orcharhino,” he was the first speaker to open the IT Days 2018. Despite the rail strikes and the resulting small organizational teething problems, there were over 20 interested IT participants -Decision makers to the presentation.

The rest of the trade fair team arrived towards the evening, as the trade fair stand was still being set up. After minor (self-made) hurdles (including an unnecessary SOS call to the office ;)) and the refreshment with a delicious burger, everything was ready for the first day of the exhibitor.

So we welcomed the first visitors to our stand from 9:00 a.m. onwards. A lot of attention brought to life our “flappy orcharhino“ a jump’n’run game where we could win one of our exclusive ATIX T-shirts. But flappy orcharhino not only aroused the ambition of the conference participants, but also of our colleague Andy: He set himself the goal of beating record holder Mark in the next few days…

Of course, there were numerous interesting conversations throughout the day and we were particularly pleased to see many of our conversation partners again at our stand party in the evening. There we enjoyed music and orcharhino imported from our home in Munich End the day nicely with a beer.

The next day, in addition to the “changing of the guard” at the stand, the main focus was on the presentations by our colleagues Mark and Jonas. In a room that was filled to capacity, Mark presented the advantages and developments of the technology of IT automation to the interested audience (see also his article in Informatik aktuell). Jonas’ presentation on the topic of Kubernetes. Nach einer erneuten Standparty mit vielen Gästen ließen wir den letzten Abend in Frankfurt noch gemütlich bei ein paar Drinks ausklingen.

After three days of training, on the last day the time had come: Andy cracked Mark’s high score on flappy orcharhino! And his commitment was worth it for everyone: there are suckling pigs for the ATIX crew! Because what would a challenge be without winning 😉

But apart from the suckling pig, we are once again drawing a great conclusion after four “IT” days in Frankfurt: Exciting discussions, informative lectures and excellent organization – simply an all-round successful event!

We would like to thank the Informatik Aktuell team and are already looking forward to the IT Days 2019!
