Open source monitoring software Icinga 2 released
With Icinga 2, the modular structure of its configuration syntax makes the creation of configurations much more compact than with its predecessor. The creation of configurations via script has also been considered.
Icinga 2 can now also be operated in cluster mode. Communication between the machines is carried out using a secure X509 SSL certificate. This also enables good scalability of the application in order to better coordinate checks and load distribution.
In addition to documentation, the developers facilitate the migration to the new version with small tools for the migration, such as help with validation and syntax highlighting.
The experts at ATIX AG will be happy to assist you with setting up or switching to Icinga in your infrastructure or with the implementation of monitoring software. You can reach us by e-mail at vertrieb@atix.de or by telephone on 089 4523538-0.
