Separated and finally united – the ATIX crew at B2run 2019

ATIX crew & Olympic Lake

30,000 starters, 1,500 companies – and we are in the middle of it all. We have been attending the B2run in Munich for years.

Even before the official start of the 6 km long run, parts of the ATIX crew were active and set off by bike from our headquarters in Garching to the meeting point at the Olympic Tower.

The rest arrived by car – although it would have been much quicker with a short warm-up run across the Middle Ring 😉

Nevertheless, everyone arrived at the Olympic Tower promptly at 5:30 p.m. and after the obligatory group photos were taken, we headed towards the starting block.

ATIX crew Olympic Stadium

The starting signal was fired at 6 p.m. sharp and the ATIX crew took to the track fully motivated. Cheered on by numerous spectators, drummers and a running crocodile, our entire B2Run team completed the 6km long running route with flying colors and crossed the finish line in the Olympic Stadium to thunderous applause. Once there, however, disillusionment quickly set in – because our colleagues, who regarded us as loyal fans ( andbackpack holder 😉 ) accompanied, there was no trace. It quickly became clear that they were not granted access to the interior of the stadium despite having purchased fan tickets separately. So the runners had to toast their great performance without their fans with a cool isotonic wheat drink. We then took the arduous journey up the stairs of the Olympic Stadium to get to our colleagues. They had to wait for us in the entrance area. There we enjoyed a beer together and let the evening end. Even though we would have preferred to do it in front of the impressive backdrop in the stadium, it was still a completely successful B2Run for us. #ATIXcrew
