Our first visit to Cloudfest 2024 at Europa-Park Rust will not be our last
This year we had the opportunity to visit the CloudFest at Europa-Park Rust for the first time. As one of the central and largest events in the cloud computing industry, it was a great opportunity for us to get to grips with innovations and trends in cloud computing. Right at the start of the festival we met up with friends from mogenius who we had already met at other industry events on topics such as DevOps and Kubernetes. The exchange with like-minded people who share our passion for technology was very inspiring and a great start to the event.
CloudFest 2024 – How it all started
The first day was particularly characterised by the keynote speech given by our colleague Jonas Trüstedt on AlmaLinux Day. His presentation provided insight into current developments and set the course for the following days.
On the second day, we had the opportunity to talk to many exhibitors and discuss the latest trends and innovations, particularly in the area of cloud infrastructure. The discussions with Hetzner Cloud, where we provide our infrastructure for training and workshops, were particularly exciting. Intel also presented the latest products and services aimed at improving infrastructure and efficiency in the cloud. The Lightning Talks, which focussed intensively on topics such as infrastructure, observability and, of course, artificial intelligence, were particularly exciting. These informative short presentations offered us further insights into current innovations in the industry.
The following days offered a wealth of exciting talks on current topics from the major cloud and storage providers. These talks were very informative as they offered practical insights into solving current problems and utilising new technologies in a wide range of application areas.
CloudFest 2024 was a very enriching experience for us. The combination of professional dialogue, reunions with acquaintances and the palpable passion for new technologies made this event one of the highlights of our year. Not only did we gain valuable insights, but we also met many inspiring people and expanded our network. We are already looking forward to next year’s event, which we will be attending again.
